Real life or blog life?

Have you ever noticed that everyone's life looks so wonderful through her blog posts? Sometimes I read blogs and think, "Wow she is incredible. Her family is perfect and she does creative things with them all day long." We must remember that life is not always as easy as it looks on the blog. Most of the time whether on blogs or in photo albums, we record the best parts of our lives.

Two of the blogs I love the most are of my friends. I like to see their lives because I know they are real moms who struggle with the same emotions I do. I like knowing at the end of the day, they brought some beauty into their little world.

Then I look at my blog or at my kids' blogs, I realize, "Wow, my family is incredible." They are the perfect family for me because they are the children and husband that God has given me. So usually I stop looking at blogs for awhile, and I take my kids on a walk, or we picnic for lunch or we take the quilt out under the tree and read books and paint and laugh.

Then I go home and blog about it!!!

The Double Sided Sweetie!

Shhh Emily is talking. That is what I have to say about Emily. In a family of 10, you really find that you take the one quiet child for granted. When she finally talks, we have to quiet the whole family to listen.

Emily is a joy to be around. She has always been so much fun and such a sweet blessing from the Lord. Emily is one who epitomizes still water runs deep. When you take time to sit and talk to Emily, you find that her life is full of thoughts and ideas and dreams.

Emily's greatest love for her first 11 years was to draw or crochet while listening to books on tape. Then her reading abilities caught up to her years and now she reads all the time. She will curl up with a book on many a cold winter day, and we want hear a peep from her for hours.

Emily's hidden talent is art. She really is quite good with drawing and especially painting. It is amazing to see her work with so little effort. I hope one day you will be blessed to see her work too. (We are planning a children's book). :)

God and Government Series...

  • The first principle of a governmental system is self government. Self government relies on wisdom and the Fear of the Lord. For the Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
  • The motivation for self government begins in the knowledge that we are here to do the Lord's work. This in turn requires... Read more HERE

Happy Easter!!!

He is Risen Indeed!!

We celebrated yesterday at our church and our great grandmothers!

Happy Easter!!!

video

HE IS RISEN!
HE IS RISEN INDEED!!

And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Saviors blood
Died he for me who caused his pain
For me who him to death pursued

Amazing love how can it be that thou my god should die for

Amazing love
How can it be?
That thou
My God
Should die for Me?

He left his Fathers throne above
So free so infinite his grace
Offered himself
So great his love and bled for Adams
Chosen race

Tis' Mercy all immense and free that thou my God should die for me.

Amazing love
How can it be?
That thou
My God
Should die for Me?

The Fab Four

To my incredible first four. I am so proud of you for your violin debut on Easter morning. Remember you are playing for the King of kings. I am so thrilled for you and will be praying all morning...when I am not trying to keep Michael quiet!
